Aim and Scope

Paraskevi Journal of Hospitality, Tourism, Supply Chain Management & Sustainability Issues (PJHTSS) is an open-access journal that welcomes high-quality and novel research from developed and developing countries. The journal accepts empirical, conceptual, review, and theoretical investigations related, but not limited, to hospitality, tourism, logistics, supply chain management, and sustainability issues.

The journal provides a platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, policymakers, and other stakeholders to disseminate scholarly research and contribute to knowledge and practice within these interconnected fields.

Author Guidelines

All manuscripts submitted to PJHTSS should be prepared in accordance with the following requirements:

  • Paper Size: A4 (8.27" × 11.69")
  • Page Numbering: Bottom-right of the page
  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12 point
  • Line Spacing: 1.5
  • Language: English
  • Referencing Style: APA 7th Edition
  • Word Count: 5,000–8,000 words, including references

Manuscript Structure

Manuscripts should generally contain the following sections:

  1. Title – The title should be concise and clearly reflect the content of the research.
  2. Abstract – 200–250 words, single-spaced.
  3. Keywords – 5–7 keywords.
  4. Introduction
  5. Literature Review
  6. Methods and Procedure
  7. Results
  8. Discussion
  9. Conclusion and Implications
  10. References

Manuscript Preparation Before Submission

Authors are required to submit the following two files:

1. Blind Manuscript

The blind manuscript must contain no author names, affiliations, or email addresses. This is necessary to facilitate the double-blind peer-review process.

2. Title Page

The title page should contain:

  • Full names of all authors
  • Institutional affiliations
  • Email addresses
  • Conflict of interest declaration
  • Funding declaration
  • Author contribution statement

Conflict of Interest

Authors must declare any conflict of interest associated with the research or manuscript on the title page.

Funding

Authors must declare whether funding was received for the research. Where applicable, the source of funding should be stated.

Author Contributions

All contributions made by the authors should be clearly stated using the authors' initials. For example, A.B.C. may represent Adams Bed Coke.

Publication Frequency

PJHTSS publishes four issues annually:

  • January–March Issue
  • April–June Issue
  • July–September Issue
  • October–December Issue

Ethical Considerations

All manuscripts involving human participants must conform to the Helsinki Declaration, including the principles of informed consent, voluntary participation, honesty, integrity, transparency, and respect for human and animal subjects.

Where applicable, manuscripts involving human participants must be accompanied by evidence of ethical research approval from the relevant institutional review board, ethics committee, or other appropriate authority.

Authors' Arguments and Views

Authors are fully responsible for all views, arguments, interpretations, and opinions expressed in their manuscripts. PJHTSS shall not be held responsible for views or arguments expressed by the author(s).

Copyright

Authors retain unrestricted copyrights and publishing rights to their work.

Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism. PJHTSS uses Turnitin for similarity checking.

Any manuscript with a similarity score above 20%, excluding references, will not be considered for peer review.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and properly acknowledge all sources used.

Peer Review Process

PJHTSS operates a double-blind peer-review process, whereby the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from each other.

The review timeline depends on the availability of suitable reviewers and the issue for which the manuscript has been submitted. Consequently, the time required to complete the review process may vary.

Submission Declaration

By submitting a manuscript to PJHTSS, authors declare that:

  • The manuscript is original.
  • The manuscript has not been published previously.
  • The manuscript is not currently under consideration by another journal.
  • All authors have approved the submitted version of the manuscript.

Article Retraction and Withdrawal

The journal reserves the right to retract articles or manuscripts that violate ethical research and publication principles, including double submission or submission of work that has already been published elsewhere.

Authors may withdraw their manuscripts during the peer-review stage.

However, authors should note that articles already published online cannot be withdrawn.

Generative AI Statement

Authors are required to declare the use of any generative artificial intelligence tool in preparing their manuscripts, including the use of AI tools to edit, improve, or refine the language of the manuscript.

AI tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and correctness of all information contained in their manuscripts.

Open Access Policy

PJHTSS is an open-access journal. All published articles are made available to the public and can be downloaded immediately after online publication.

The Article Processing Charge is:

  • International Authors: US$50
  • Nigerian Authors: ₦40,000
