Errata and Corrigenda

PJEMS is committed to maintaining an accurate scholarly record.

Errors discovered after publication may be corrected through an Erratum, Corrigendum, or other appropriate editorial notice.

Erratum

An erratum may be published when an error was introduced during the editorial, production, typesetting, or publication process.

Corrigendum

A corrigendum may be published when an author identifies an error in the published article that requires correction.

Corrections

Corrections may concern:

  • Author information
  • Institutional affiliation
  • Tables
  • Figures
  • Equations
  • Statistical values
  • Textual errors
  • References
  • Other material errors

Significant Errors

Where an error substantially affects the validity or reliability of an article, the journal may consider an Expression of Concern or Retraction rather than a simple correction.

Linking

Corrections should be linked electronically to the original article wherever technically possible, while maintaining a transparent record of the change.

The original article should not normally be altered in a manner that conceals the fact that a correction has been issued.
