Publication Policy

PJEMS is committed to maintaining a transparent, rigorous, ethical, and academically independent publication process.

Originality

Manuscripts submitted to PJEMS must be original and must not have been published previously or be under simultaneous consideration by another journal.

Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions are based on academic and scholarly considerations, including originality, relevance, methodological quality, research integrity, and contribution to knowledge.

Editorial decisions are not determined by:

  • Author nationality;
  • Institutional affiliation;
  • Gender;
  • Religion;
  • Political views;
  • Ethnicity;
  • Personal relationships; or
  • Ability or willingness to pay publication charges.

Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass initial editorial assessment may undergo independent external peer review.

The journal normally seeks at least two qualified reviewers for research articles, although the editor may request additional reviews where necessary.

Publication Decisions

The Editor-in-Chief and designated editors are responsible for final publication decisions.

Possible decisions include:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Resubmit for Review
  • Reject

Publication Schedule

PJEMS is committed to maintaining a regular publication schedule.

Articles will be published according to the journal's established issue structure and publication calendar.

Corrections and Retractions

The journal maintains procedures for correcting or retracting published material when significant errors or integrity concerns are identified.
